Jan '09 Sock = Sox for Cathy Hodge

OK, Cathy Hodge needed an idea for a sock.
She is using Knit Picks yarn
Felici
It stripes.

MATERIALS
100 gm of sock yarn (color runs need to be around “ long)
# 2 needles (or size needed to achieve guage)
METHOD OF YOUR CHOICE
this is a GREAT pattern for DPS – use 3 with stitches on them &
knit with the forth
24 stitches on Needle 1 – 18 stitches on Needle 2 – 18 stitches on Needle 3
IF you are using Magic Loop or 2 Circs –
it’s 30 stitches on ea cable
For me, use 2 different yarns & make the left cuff,
then the same yarns to make the right cuff

Gauge = st / in & rows / in in stockinette (pattern) stitch
Marker to designate beginning of round (safety pin works)
**HINT** due to the nature of the socks having different stitch directions
either you knit one cuff at a time
OR use 2 different skeins of yarn & make 2 pair of sox
UNLESS you do not want the socks to spiral in opposite directions -
UP TO YOU!!

DECEMBER 2008 WHENEVER STASHBUSTER SOX

The point of this is to use what you have on hand
Take a handpaint or something with short color runs
3 – 6 stitches per color
When you get to a specific color, you purl the stitches
I chose black to be the color purled with this yarn
Remember, the color above the stitch you purl, will be the color of
the purl bump that shows

This sock will fit a woman’s med foot
